Bio:
Before joining Grund & Leavitt, P.C., Mr. Berman was a principal partner in the law firm of Kirsh & Berman, Ltd. in Chicago. Mr. Berman received his Juris Doctor from DePaul University Law School in 1964. Arthur Berman has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America for twenty-five years. With the AAML, Mr. Berman is former National Treasurer, Vice President, and President. He has also served the Illinois Chapter in the Board of Managers and as Vice President. Mr. Berman is past chairman Chicago Bar Association, Matrimonial Law Committee; past chairman and secretary of the Illinois State Bar Association, Family Law Section; past chairman Genetics Subcommittee of the American Bar Association, Family Law Section; past chairman of American Bar Association, Custody Committee. Mr. Berman also served as President of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and President of the U.S.A. Chapter of the organization. He is a Diplomat of The American College of Trial Lawyers. Mr. Berman is certified by the AAML as a Matrimonial Arbitrator. Art Berman has lectured and has has lectured for the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education, the Chicago Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association and the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Mr. Berman is a past instructor at Harper College and St. Xavier’s College and a past guest lecturer at DePaul College of Law, Loyola Law School and the Northwestern University School of Law.
