Bio:
MICHAEL R. HASSELBERG was born in 1946. He attended the University of Illinois and received his Bachelor's degree in 1968 and his Master's degree in 1972. He graduated from John Marshall Law School in 1975. Mike is a member of the Peoria County and Illinois State Bar Associations, Abraham Lincoln Inn of Court and the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Mike was Chairman of the Peoria County Bar Association Family Law Committee from 1988 to 1989, 1994 to 1995, and 2005 to 2006, and the Continuing Legal Education Committee from 2000 to 2001. Mike was President of the Abraham Lincoln Inn of Court from 1997 to 1998. He was admitted to the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers in 1990. Mike has been selected by his peers as a "Leading Lawyer" each year since 2006 in the area of family law as noted by the Leading Lawyers Network. Mike has also been selected by his peers as an "Illinois Super Lawyer" each year since 2006 in the area of family law as noted in the Law & Politics magazine, a division of Chicago magazine. Mike was an Airborne and Ranger Qualified Infantry Officer in the United States Army from 1968 to 1971. He served with the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam from 1970 to 1971.
