Bio:
Gregory A. Scott is a partner of Scott & Scott, P.C. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Illinois State University in 1973, and his Juris Doctor Degree from The John Marshall Law School in 1977. He has been active in the practice of law in the Springfield, Illinois area since April, 1978. He is a member of the American Bar Association Family Law Division, Illinois State Bar Association and Sangamon County Bar Association. He is a Fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. He has served in the capacity of President, Vice-President and Treasurer of the Sangamon County Bar Association. He was the Chairman of the Illinois State Bar Association Family Law Section Council for 2007-2008. Gregory is the past Co-Chairman of the Continuing Legal Education subcommittee and Co-Chairman of the Supreme Court Rules Committee of the Section Council. He is also a member of the American Inn of Court, Lincoln-Douglas Chapter and a member of the Leading Lawyers Network. Gregory concentrates his practice in the area of family law in both the trial and Appellate Court level.
